Ushering the Body through the Ascension

One of my key healing themes in this lifetime is learning how to be a human. It might sound strange to some, but I have always had awareness of my soul journey, I just could never understand how it was translating into this weird human form.

I swear, I've been studying the human species since childhood. The biggest question I was always asking myself is "why are people pretending to be something they are not?" It wasn't until 15 years ago when I began to understand I have always been attuned to a higher dimension of reality that could connect me with a persons true inner essence. Although that awareness gave me a sense of relief, I've still had a long way to go to truly understanding why the lower self expresses itself as it does. In particular, what the heck do you do with this physical body.

The body really does have it's own consciousness. It takes its instructions from your Soul, but it's also influenced by the energies it interacts with, including food, sound, weather, air, people. The body is the interface between your soul and the planet. The only education or modeling I had in regards to how to "deal" with the body is to force it to do what you want it to do.

We now have access to a huge amount of information, technology and research that can give us information about the needs of the human body. Not only that, the ancient wisdom traditions are being brought forth into a modern way, so we can re-learn the ways that we've disconnected from our bodies (especially in the post industrial era). It's not easy to rebuild the habits and foundations that bring our Soul back in connection with the body's consciousness.

The journey doesn't seem to end and if you're like me, we might get kicked back to what feels like the beginning many times along the way. These are the moments that the weight comes back on or the chronic illness you thought was resolved returns. Somehow, just when we think we've got something conquered, we slowly find ourselves back in old habits that keep us feeling disconnected from Spirit. The truth is that we have to shift our intention from conquering to honoring.

When it comes to the human journey, especially the one with the body, we have a deep surrendering process to experience. We will continue to move through layer after layer of our own subconscious until we reach a place where we no longer have to force, control or numb, rather every ounce of our being chooses alignment with our true inner essence. The body will eventually accept that it is held in infinite divine wisdom and part of the whole.

These days, I feel grateful for this physical experience. I feel pain in my body a lot. It doesn't do the thing that I want it to do all the time and I still face difficulty aligning with what I have deemed proper habits. I'm learning to release judgement, control and even overriding some of the knowledge that keeps you thinking it should be a certain way. I've accepted that she's in a process of transformation and I can stay with her while she's going through it. I think that's what our bodies wanted all along, they want your conscious awareness to be there as they unwind the experience of being a human.
